A New Jersey father and his four daughters were killed in a car wreck on Friday afternoon as the family made their way back home from a trip to Ocean City, Maryland. Police said the family of six was traveling northbound on Route 1 in Delaware just before 4pm when a maroon pickup truck crossed the center median into oncoming traffic slamming into the family's white Toyota Sienna minivan. The minivan came to stop on the median and looked unrecognizable in photos. Authorities said five of the family members were killed in the crash and pronounced dead at the scene. They have been identified as 61-year-old Audi Marquez Trinidad and his four daughters Kaitlyn, 20; Danna, 17; and twins Melissa and Allison, 13.

The police on Monday rescued the abducted father of Super Eagles captain, Mikel Obi, in Enugu. A statement issued by spokesman of Enugu State Police Command, Ebere Amaraizu, said Pa Michael Obi and his driver, Ishaya John, were kidnapped last Friday along Makurdi – Enugu Road. Despite knowing the danger involved, residents were seen rushing with their gallons and buckets to scoop fuel from a fallen tanker in Biase local government area of Cross River state. Moments after the tanker crashed and landed into a ditch, the residents were notified as they rushed to the scene to scoop fuel. This is coming after the fuel tanker explosion which happened on Thursday on Otedola bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway where at least 9 people were killed and over 50 vehicles burnt. A tanker which was loaded with PMS, had a brake failure while trying to overtake a vehicle before crashing and exploding in the process. Unfortunately 9 bodies were confirmed dead and recovered from the scene (8 adults and 1 minor) and a total number of 54 vehicles were completely burnt as a result of the inferno.
